The Boston and Rolling Fork Fire Departments were called to a home on South Stillwell Road late last night. When firefighters arrived the two story frame home was fully involved. Nelson County EMS was called to the scene to treat a patient for possible smoke inhalation. Firefighters were called to the home a few minutes before midnight. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.

A Nelson County man was hurt when his vehicle struck a utility pole yesterday afternoon. 78 year old Preston Coomes of Bardstown was taken to Flaget Memorial Hospital by Nelson County EMS with what appeared to be minor injuries to his face and head. Police say Coomes was traveling east on Greer Lane when he lost control of his vehicle and struck the pole. The accident happened at about 5:10 pm yesterday. Deputy Jerry Hardin of the Nelson County Sheriff's Office investigated.
